The Lemurian Abbey is a divine sanctuary across the lake on the island of Lenore. This lake is not unlike Lake Como in Northern Italy and is home to votaries of the Soul Food Way. The Abbess welcomes all comers but encourages residents to give bricks to ensure the growth of this virtual sanctuary. Check out her personal Lemurian Squidoo for products and books that she recommends.

A real gem! I am glad this facility has been preserved and put to good use. So many grand buildings get torn down for no good reason.
Is this really in the middle of a city? Seems so pastoral. Lovely though, very lovely.
It’s such a beautiful place, and it is right in the city. It’s like an oasis. These places are invaluable treasures! Great to see these photos, Heather, of the Abbey!
Yes Bo! It is within a few kilometres of the CBD and it is quite pastoral. We are very fortunate to have so much green throughout the city. Melbourne really is a garden city and there are lots of lovely places to walk and enjoy the greenery. I can reach a creek within five minutes and they have done a lot to ensure it stays healthy.
A lovely city
when we are well enough
we will return, Fran
Oh, Heather, what a beautiful place. So many hidden corners in which to sit and meditate.
